Professional Experience

As a Senior Associate, Phusit Yamgate joined the Litigation Division of RWT in 2017 after working in Thai law firms focusing on both civil and criminal litigation. For the better part of a decade, Phusit has honed his skills both in the boardroom as well as the courtroom and provides RWT with another experienced and well-rounded litigator for our team. As part of the litigation division, Phusit will be responsible for both civil and criminal actions while also reporting to the Managing Director as well as assisting in on all matters pertaining to litigation.

Phusit takes with him a wealth of knowledge from his prior experience in Thai and International litigation matters which enable him to be consulted for any legal matter within the company. In the past, Phusit has handled the drafting and payment structure of sales contracts, including installment payment agreements, and lease agreements. He is also well versed as a liaison to the Department of Business Development for the registration of the amendments of the company such as changing the authorized directors, shareholders, and shares of the company. After having represented cases from all over the Kingdom of Thailand, Phusit gained valuable experience while also attaining a better understanding of his role and that of the client. From filing complaints against debtors to overseeing the actual case, Phusit is well versed in terms of the steps and litigation tactics used throughout the court process including asset seizures and subsequent payment agreements.

With experience in cases involving embezzlement and fraud including cross-border transactions and cheque cashing schemes, Phusit has taken legal action against those offenders in criminal court. He also has been responsible for the prosecution both in civil and criminal cases concerning the disputes of cheques, guardianship, condominium fees, and administration of inheritance. In cases of purchase and sales agreements of luxury items such as cars for example, Phusit has previously represented European car distributors on various cases including credit assessment, vehicle seizures, prosecution of such cases, and conducting the judgement execution process as well. In all such matters, Phusit has a proven track record of positive results for his clients.
