On the 24th – 25th July 2019, RWT International Law Offices was pleased to successfully conduct a series of Customs trainings at the main borders of Thailand. The trainings were arranged at the Airport Free Zone, Suvarnabhumi Airport and The Aranyaprathet Customs Port (Cambodian Border) over the two day period.
RWT was pleased to host the series of trainings together with Brand Protection Representatives from various Luxury brands, Sports Apparel, and Dermatological brands used in the Medical Industry. With the Thai Customs Officials in attendance, RWT IP investigation and enforcement divisions provided attendees with an up-to-date confirmation and identification of each of the brands while detailing how to identify counterfeit goods which are found in the marketplace. In all the locations, these trainings and workshops have proven to be extremely worthwhile as well as a fresh perspective and understanding for Thai Customs Officers as they have to face the everyday challenges in containing counterfeit goods from entering into the Kingdom of Thailand. Thai Customs Officers were highly engaged to learn new and effective ways to thwart further counterfeit items from entering the country. With a total of approximately 54 officials from Thai Customs Department who attended the Customs Trainings. RWT would like to thank all those in attendance as well as our brand representatives who assisted in hosting the event.
